Students can log in to Bakpax and see all open assignments on the Due tab of their Assigned Works page.

All of a student's assignments that are incomplete and due in the future will be listed here. If an assignment is past the due date, it will appear on the Complete tab.

If an assignment opens at a later date, it will appear on the student's Assigned Work page at 12:00am on the open date.

How do students submit their work online?

Go to Assigned Work

To complete assignments fully online, students will first need to open them from the Assigned Work page. Then, they will click on the Complete Online button. While completing assignments online, students can read through sections and instructions, type in answers, and see their progress as they complete each question. They can also skip ahead and go back to questions as needed before submitting.

You can allow students to complete assignments online or turn this feature off and require students to complete and upload their work.

Enter Answers Using Four Options

Students have four different options for entering answers -  Draw Answer, Take Picture of Answer, Text Keyboard, and Math Keyboard. Just click on the button to use it. Details about each can be found in our Complete and Submit Work How-to Guide.

Upload Work Written Anywhere

After students have completed all of the questions, they may be prompted to upload a picture of their work. They can use the Upload Photo button to submit one image or page to show their work for the assignment.

To make this option available, you need to make sure there is at least one work space on the assignment. For details about how to add work space to questions, see our Creating Autogradable Assignments How-to Guide.

See Results

Once students have entered all of their answers and submitted their work, they will get their grade.

If a problem appears to be graded incorrectly, you can always update the grade. Students can click on any problem and request a regrade if this is the case. This request will be sent to you as an email notification.

You can also allow your students to retry problems or view the correct answers. If this is the case, students can click on any problem to select these options and continue working on the assignment.

Details about how to allow/prevent the options described above can be found in our Assigning Work to Your Classroom How-to Guide.

How do students submit work completed on printed worksheets?

Go to Assigned Work

After completing a digital or printed worksheet, students will need to open the assignment from the Assigned Work page to submit their work. Then, they will click on the Upload Completed Work button to begin the submission process.

Here are some submission tips to help ensure that the AI reads your student's handwriting as accurately as possible: Bakpax Submission Tips

Upload Your Work

After selecting Upload Completed Work, students will be prompted to submit their assignment. Once a clear image is submitted, Bakpax will process it.

Capture the Key Codes

To submit a clear image, students can use the camera on their mobile device to take a picture of the handout or select a saved image from their desktop device. Either way, students must be sure to capture the four QR codes in the corners of the page and the barcode at the bottom. The AI will use these codes to identify the assignment and locate the answers.

Upload Pages Individually

If the assignment is multiple pages long, students will be prompted to upload each page individually.

Review Responses

After the entire assignment has been uploaded, students can review how their handwriting was read and update their answers if any were misread.

See Results

Once students have reviewed all of their answers, their work will be submitted and they can see their grade. Each problem will be marked as correct, incorrect, or with an apple. Any problem marked with an apple needs to be graded by the teacher.

If a problem appears to have been graded incorrectly, you can always update the grade.
